Players Only CBD is a performance-focused CBD brand built around helping people recover, rest, and perform at their best.
The Brief
From September 2024 through January 2025, Players Only partnered with Lovely Media Group to:
Align their social presence across Instagram, X, Facebook, and Threads
Activate ambassadors including Jackie Christie, Matt Barnes, Tim Brown, and Chris Webber with content they could post natively
Build a repeatable content system—strategy, visuals, captions, and analytics—for ongoing brand growth
Goals & Challenges
Our Approach
1. Strategy & Planning
We started by defining how Players Only should show up online:
Built a competitor analysis and strategy document outlining brand positioning, voice, and visual direction
Defined content pillars: performance & recovery, CBD education, ambassador stories, and community/UGC
Developed a multi-platform content calendar covering post types, themes, and publishing cadence
Created ambassador playbooks with content ideas, prompts, and guidelines, so each ambassador could post in their own voice while staying on-message
2. Ambassador Content
Ambassadors are central to Players Only’s story, so we built content around them:
- Produced ambassador-focused content packages including short-form videos, photos, and graphics tailored for their feeds
- Wrote plug-and-play captions and prompts ambassadors could customize quickly
- Ensured each post reinforced key product benefits and the brand’s “everyone is an athlete” message
3. Content Production & UGC
Lovely Media Group handled a mix of polished brand content and UGC-style storytelling:
Shot and edited product photos and videos optimized for vertical formats
Crafted UGC-style videos designed to feel like real customers and athletes talking to their audience
Edited short-form video content for Reels-style placements that highlighted recovery, routine, and lifestyle
Over roughly 90 days, we produced and published nearly 40 pieces of content—including Reels, feed videos, informational graphics, carousels, and ambassador posts.
4. Design & Brand Assets
We helped tighten and unify the brand’s look across platforms:
- Designed social account banners and profile images for X, Facebook, and Threads -
- Created informational graphics and carousels explaining product benefits, usage, and ingredients -
- Built reusable templates so future content could stay visually consistent, even when created in-house -
5. Analytics & Optimization
Performance feedback was built into the process:
Generated analytics reports summarizing post performance across platforms
Highlighted top-performing content formats and topics to double down on
Recommended posting frequency, timing, and creative adjustments to steadily improve engagement
